F. Couperin Pieces de Clavecin with Baroque Fingerings
This edition, together with Vol. II, covers the best harpsichord pieces composed by François Couperin. The present 2nd ed. of 2023 has fixed a few typos in the first edition of 2015.

This is the very first published score where these pieces are fully fingered according to the principles expounded in the book Baroque Keyboard Fingerings: A Method. This method is a systematic reconstruction of the very consistent and unified mid-to-late Baroque fingering system, largely based on F. Couperin's own treatise L'Art de Toucher le Clavecin of 1717.

A 36-page introductory essay covers everything the harpsichordist needs to know about the editorial method, fingerings, suggestions for performance and the correction of a few errors in the score. Over the score—in the usual black—a colour coding allows to identify the editorial additions:
the editor's complete fingerings, the fingerings from L'Art de Toucher and the error corrections.
